Vaginal vault prolapse
Vaginal
vault prolapse occurs only in women who have had a hysterectomy. The
top of the vagina, where the uterus used to be, collapses down into
the vagina. With severe forms, this portion of the vagina may protrude
out of the body . Vaginal vault prolapse can cause a backache, vaginal
bleeding, and urinary incontinence. Vaginal vault prolapse may also be
accompanied by other forms of prolapse.
