Uterine prolapse
Uterine
prolapse occurs when the uterus drops down into the vagina. It is the
second most common form of pelvic organ prolapse and may cause urinary
incontinence, a heavy feeling, trouble with intercourse and
menstrual-like cramps. In severe prolapse, the uterus itself may
protrude out of the body. Uterine prolapse may be accompanied by one
or more other forms of prolapse as well.
